What are the ways to make a reservation? Please view our availability calendar and send us an email with your requested check-in and check-out dates. At that time we will contact you with date availability confirmation and ask that you download our Guest Rental Agreement. Please read it over, fill out your credit card information, sign it, and fax it to 608-854-2165 or mail it back to us (time permitting) to P.O. Box 450 Hazel Green, WI 53811. After we receive your signed agreement we will contact you with your confirmation number. If you cannot download our Guest Rental Agreement, we will gladly email or snail-mail it to you. How and when do I pay for my reservation? Your full payment, plus the $250 Security/Damage Deposit, must be received at time of booking. We accept Visa and MasterCard. Please fill out your credit card information on the Guest Rental Agreement and fax it to us at 608-854-2165.
Where are you located? We are conveniently located in the tri-state area of Wisconsin, Iowa and Illinois. 8 minutes North of Galena, IL, 15 minutes East of Dubuque, IA. For directions from several different directions please refer to the directions section of the website.
Do you have pet friendly cabins? No. Your furry friends may become full of anxiety in an unfamiliar place, so we ask that you leave them at home where they are familiar with their surroundings.
Are the cabins close to one another? There are only two cabins located on this driveway, and they are situated far enough away from each other that you should feel you have your own private getaway.
Are there age restrictions on renting a cabin? Yes, you must be of "legal and responsible age" so we will not rent to anyone under 25 years old. The person making the reservation must be one of the guests who remain with the rental party throughout their stay. The signature on the rental agreement must be the same as the name on the credit card used for the reservation. Please bring ID and the credit card the reservation was placed on when checking in.
What if we have a problem at the cabin? There will be an information binder in your cabin when you check in. Please look this over for reminders on check-out procedures, and any basics you may need to know about your stay in the cabin. Always feel free to contact us at 608-732-1089 if there is something that needs to be looked at immediately. If there is an EMERGENCY, please call 911 for police or rescue.
Do you have a No Smoking Policy? Yes! All cabins are considered to be Non-Smoking and this policy will be strictly enforced. If there is evidence of smoking inside the cabin you will be responsible for additional cleaning charges.
What should we bring with us? All of our cabins are provided with a basic supply of linens. In addition, there is a start up supply of paper product, bath soap and trash bags. You will also be greeted with a fully equipped kitchen so all you need to remember are your grocery items. It is recommended if you are here for an extended stay that you bring additional trash bags, paper products, and hand soap. Our cabins also supply a washer & dryer for those extended stays with a small supply of detergent and fabric softener. Please note that bed linens and bath towels are not changed during your stay and housekeeping is not provided during the length of your stay. We promise your cabin will be clean when you check-in, and we will reclean it for the next visitor after you check-out.
Are there grocery stores in the area? There are several grocery stores nearby. There is an 'everything' store just up the road in Hazel Green - Gasser's True Value 744-3243 - and 8 minutes down the road in Galena, IL are numerous shops. If you're looking for the best of the best in Wisconsin cheese and meats, please venture a little North up the road to Cuba City, WI where you will find Gile Cheese Store and Weber Meats. What is the check-in/check-out policy? CHECK-IN IS AT 4:00 PM Please do not attempt to check in early unless previous arrangements have been made. After you have faxed us the signed Guest Rental Agreement, we will contact you with the code to the Keylock Box so that you can check yourself in when you arrive. Please write this code down & keep it with you for when you arrive.
CHECK-OUT IS AT 11:00AM: It is our mission to provide the cleanest cabins possible so that our guests will come back to us in the future! Please help our housekeeping staff meet their schedule without inconveniencing the next guest by checking out on time and following the check out procedures you received at check-in. Can I watch TV at the cabin? Yes! Our cabins are equipped with Satellite. Both bedrooms and both living rooms are nicely equipped with a flatscreen TV.
Where can we eat? There are many places locally to dine in our Tri-State area. Each cabin has a "Welcome Folder" filled with information about our Tri-State area. We're sure you'll find a spot you'll love.
Is there a minimum length of stay? Yes, we require a two-night minimum.
What is the cancellation policy?
A 30 day notice is required for all cancellations. Cancellations that occur more then 30 days prior will incur no penalty. Any cancellation made less then 30 days prior (and more then 7 days) will result in a refund of 50% of your total charge (less tax & deposit). Any cancellation made less then 7 days prior will forfeit all nightly fees, and will be refunded only the deposit. Any reservation booked over a holiday and/or holiday weekend are completely non refundable. There is a $25.00 non-refundable administrative fee for any changes to your reservation.
We strongly recommend that whenever traveling, you purchase travel insurance to ease your mind in case of any unforeseeable cancellation issues.
